A thankful mind isn't the denial of reality with all the problems, trials, and tribulations of being a young journalist today. Being thankful instead creates ever increasing gladness and the opportunity to be rejoiceful.
As we head into the Thanksgiving weekend, I can't help but to think of the two most joyful young journalists we worked with this year. They didn't spend the year focused on the enormous and sometimes overwhelming challenges of being a field reporter. They spend their time and energy collecting mentors, skills, and creating opportunities.
Their open gratitude and thankfulness were contagious, especially with their TalentBlvd mentors Cristina Mendonsa and Heidi Goitia. One of my most memorable calls in 2022 was with Cristina when she told me "you NEED to work with Cierra".
This holiday weekend I'm thankful for what Cierra Jordan and Joshua Peguero brought with them when they came to TalentBlvd. Their always positive, joyous, and thankful attitudes make our company better and an example of why TalentBlvd is THE place to be as we head into 2023.
I'm hopeful that all on our platform can find time to give thanks for the amazing opportunities and gifts we received in 2022. The recognition and gratitude will open your heart. Just ask Joshua, Cierra, Cristina, and Heidi.
