Meet Today's Rising MMJ / Reporter / Anchor: Adam Pinsker

Hello friends, meet Adam Pinsker, he has 15 years experience as a multimedia journalist and is currently reporting for the combined PBS/NPR affiliate in Bloomington, Indiana.
Adam won an SPJ award for his coverage of 13 federal executions carried out at the federal penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has witnessed 7 of those executions, and contracted COVID-19 as a result of making frequent trips to the prison complex.
He has spent 4 years as an MMJ in the Ft. Myers/Naples area at WFTX where he covered devastating algal blooms that ravaged the area in 2016 and 2018.
From 2012 to 2015, Adam worked at KTUU in Anchorage, Alaska. One of his memorable experiences was covering a story about a military aircraft found in a glacier. The plane has been lost since the 1950’s.
Additionally, he spent four years with WACH in Columbia, South Carolina from 2008 to 2012.
Adam's diverse background and ability to be a utility player is evident from his early days as a sports reporter before transitioning to news full time. He helped cover the first in the South GOP and Democratic presidential primaries that were held in 2008 and 2012.
In the newsroom, his reputation includes his love for helping people, particularly younger reporters or producers. Adam is likeable and approachable by all both in front of and behind the camera.
