It is another milestone day at TalentBlvd.com. I'm thrilled to introduce Sharon Reed as the newest Senior Talent Mentor on the TalentBlvd.com leadership team.

Sharon has been a friend and trusted industry voice going back to the early days of TalentBlvd. She has successfully navigated the turbulent waters of both local and national news networks and is perfectly suited to mentor early-mid career journalists. Her bio:

Sharon Reed is an Emmy award-winning broadcaster and current co-host of “Start Your Day with Sharon and Mike” on BNC. Her quick wit and conversational approach has placed her on NFL and NBA sidelines as a reporter, in top 10 television markets, including Atlanta and Miami, and in a variety of roles ranging from primetime host to news anchor, moderator and interviewer.  

Reed is known for directly confronting both difficult and controversial topics in a way that brings clarity and insight to audiences. She has hosted specials on domestic violence, gun violence and race relations, always with a mission to move the conversation and community forward. Her honest and direct approach has resulted in several viral moments, including her “clap back” to a racist viewer that garnered national attention, including on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” and “The Wendy Williams Show.”  

Reed is a graduate of Georgetown University and holds a Master's Degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
